Katie + Kyle

Katie and I met our freshman year playing volleyball in Ogden, UT which is where she met a handsome basketball player named Kyle. Fast forward three years to just another spring morning at their home in Ogden where Katie had gotten up to make her morning a cup of coffee. Kyle had snuck into the bathroom, placed a diamond ring on the neck of her toothbrush and waited for her to start her morning routine. Little did Katie know that she was going to have the most memorable morning of her life. She walked up to her makeup vanity, got ready, went to brush her whites and there it was. She turned around and there was Kyle down on one knee looking her in the eyes saying “Will you marry me?” Without hesitation, Katie said yes! Because Katie is Canadian and Kyle is American, their situation was a bit different when it came to their wedding celebration plans. For their American families they had a small intimate ceremony, went for a late afternoon tee time, and celebrated with their families in Utah. For Katie’s Canadian family, they had a barn reception in her hometown Regina, SK where all of her friends and families toasted to Katie & Kyle starting this exciting chapter of their lives.
