We’ve all dreamt about it. The most beautiful outdoor wedding reception with the perfect tented wedding reception, a clear sky and warm sun to boot. Well I am here to tell you that Haley & Lucas’s wedding day was just that. On the Thursday before the wedding, Lucas and I were constantly on the Weather Network’s app watching the weather yo-yo between rain and sunshine. On the night before the wedding I said to Lucas “We really need to talk about Plan B for the ceremo—” “It’s not going to rain Joelle, don’t worry. Just trust me!” I threw my hands up in the air, said a little prayer to the weather gods and as you will see from their wedding photos below, the sun broke through the clouds and they had the most incredible day of weather for their special day!
Haley & Lucas had their first look pictures out in the park before their ceremony took place where they wrote one another a letter to read before they turned around— their reactions are absolutely priceless. Their ceremony took place underneath a beautiful maple tree in Coronation Park in Red Deer, AB. After they sealed their vows with a kiss and were introduced as the new Mr. & Mrs. Plamondon, their guests visited and played lawn games out in the park until the wedding reception began.
The few words that Haley & Lucas consistently used while we were in the planning process was that they wanted to have a ‘nature infused’ wedding. Between the eucalyptus leaves on guest tables, the wood seating cards, an outdoor venue and all the natural florals…Haley & Lucas hosted the most refreshing outdoor garden wedding 😉 The tented reception was held at Haley’s fathers residence where we were surrounded with foliage and a fresh summer breeze. Their guest tables were dressed in white linens with a grey table runner, candlesticks and fragrant greens trailing down the middle with beautiful hand written wood seating cards for each guest. Haley’s brother built these incredible pentagon’s that floated behind the head table against a lilac bush that were filled with candles and fresh greens. After their guests finished their dinner, they were treated to a milk & cookie bar with chilled white and chocolate milk and iced coffee for all to enjoy!
With all of my clients, it is always so wonderful to finally meet all of their families and friends after spending so much time with them planning their wedding day. Haley, Lucas and family, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful celebration! Congratulations to you both and may you carry the joy of that special day close to your heart as you journey the road of life together.
